Simple Skillet Green Beans
serves 4-6

Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon oil or butter
  • 1 pound of fresh green beans, ends trimmed
  • 3/4 cup of low sodium chicken or vegetable broth
  • salt and pepper to taste
Directions 
In a large nonstick skillet, heat oil or butter over medium heat. Add green beans and cook 2-3 minutes stirring often. Pour broth and bring the beans and broth to a simmer. Cover skillet and cook 6-10 minutes on how soft you like your beans. Keep an eye on the liquid in case you need to add a little more to cook. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
